Jonathan Baldwin is a design major at UC Davis, and frankly something of a massive nerd. Like, “tried to teach himself the theory behind quantum physics at age 10 by reading Stephen Hawking,” level nerd. Today he remains interested in science, religion, philosophy, psychology, literature, comic books, films, dice… Par for the course, really.
Role-playing games have remained a passion for him since his childhood, long before he knew what they were. He also likes writing about himself in the third person for About pages like this one.
This blog is mostly about role-playing, with occasional forays into all things nerdy. It may also delve into my self-improvement attempts with emphasis on “life hacks,” – powergaming the real world.
Jonathan is also a contributor at Stuffershack.com.

Most played game system: Dungeons & Dragons 4th Edition

Favorite comics: Tough call. I have to go with NextWave, Watchmen, Agent-X, the Udon/Simone run on Taskmaster, the 90’s version of Supergirl (as written by Peter David), and I’m a sucker for All-Star Superman. I have fond memories of The Return of Superman as it appeared in collected form; I was young, and when I read it the first time I thought it was one of the coolest things ever.
I tend to get most of my comics in collected form WAY too late to be on the cutting edge of stories – one of these days I hope to be able to correct that. Digital subscriptions, maybe.
Also, I watch AtopTheFourthWall.
Favorite superhero: Again, tough call. It would have been Spider-man in high school, but he let me down after One More Day. It would probably be Powergirl, but I don’t know if she’ll exist after this new reboot, so let’s just wait and see.
